Ernesto Fernandez Nogueras

1960s

Ernesto Fernandez worked for la Revolucion magazine as a photojournalist following the success of the revolution.  He was the first photographer to reach the Bay of Pigs during the failed invasion of 1961 and throughout the decade documented the progress and changes that occurred.  They also include photos of Simone Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre on a visit to Cuba.
