James Sparshatt set up the gallery in 2005.  James’ background includes working as a photographer and newspaper editor in South America for a number of years before returning to study Fine Art Photography at London College of Printing. His passion for photography and culture has been a driving force in the development of the gallery.  James organizes our international art fairs.


Rachael Dalzell

Director / Painter

Rachael Dalzell joined the gallery in 2006 after graduating from Wimbledon School of Art.  She is one of our artists and is also in charge of exhibitions at our gallery space.   Rachael works at our UK art fairs.


Barry Cawston

Photography Consultant

Barry Cawston is an award winning photographer from the south west of England. As well as being one of our artists he works with us at our international art fairs.


Helen Beckett

Gallery Manager

Helen Beckett‘s Norfolk roots, interior design skills, enthusiasm and humour make her the perfect addition to the team. 





Ken Climie

The Founder

Ken Climie was inspired by a love of the arts and a passion for the world’s offbeat destinations to set up Capital Culture gallery in 2005 after twenty years in the corporate world.   Ken maintains an advisory role but has now focused his attention on Exposed, an award winning art space he set up in Moscow.
